It’s a sad day at home… It’s been 3 days since we found out that Mocha was ill…
She died today April 11, 2012 at 5:48am
Before I tell the story, let me share a few beautiful memories with my Mocha.
I got her when she was only a month old…
She was a sweet, charming ball of fur!
She loved to chew, especially on yarn (I think she thought she was a cat!)
She loved playing dress-up…
She loved to eat cheese, ice cream, pizza, pencils, beads, clay and everything else she could find..
She loved to run around the park, she loved that park…
She would slide..
Lie down..
…and do her “thing” there.. (hehe, sorry Mocha for showing the picture of you pooping in the park)
And oh… she loved to sleep…
and sleep…
and sleeeppp..
and sleep with us..
She was our little girl…
and I’m just happy to have had shared my life with such a bundle of joy…
I’ll miss you waiting for me on my bed to wake up and feed you, and you would lick my face..
I’ll miss playing tag with you in the park…
I’ll miss dressing you up in weird clothes you hate..
I’ll miss buying and making toys for you…
I’ll miss how happy you always are to see us home again and how you pee while you’re all excited…
I’ll miss the sit, stand up, high five, lie down, swimming and MOCHA ROLL tricks and how you go crazy to get pieces of Loaded Cheese flavor…
I’ll miss the laughter and smiles we got from every moment with you..
I’ll miss you Mocha… I love you little girl…
She was diagnosed with Canine Distemper, a diseas from an airbone virus passed by dogs to other dogs… It starts with cold-like symptoms then during the late stages can cause severe nervous system damage. She had seizures that would last for 3 minutes at a time then it became more severe after 3 days. She eventually died from the complications…
A warning to all pet lovers, please do not take for granted any signs of illness in your pets, you never know what It may mean… we thought Mocha got something stuck in her throat, hence the cough.. little did we know, that this cough would take her life… it’s very sad to watch her have her seizures when there’s nothing you can do about it.

Mocha and I are currently transferring our stuff into boxes. Moving to a new house is hard!
